Southern Screen Scene can fit a number of different wires and meshes to your grille type security or screen doors, grille type window screens, plain fly screens and fly doors. We also re-wire existing doors and screens. Want to do it yourself? We are happy to sell these wires over the counter.

Lookout Mesh

Being able to see visitors before you open the door adds to the safe feeling you get from a security door. 

Providing the light is stronger on the outside than inside, then you can see out but it is difficult to get a clear look in.

Lookout mesh also called restricted vision mesh, privacy mesh and DVA is a maintenance free aluminium screen available in a range of painted finishes.

Microtech

If it’s not the dog, it’s the cat or the kids. Scratching ripping and breaking through the screen that was only designed to hold back flys.

Microtech is made from a single piece of the finest aluminium with tiny holes punched into it. It is the longer lasting answer to the thrash and bash of everyday life.

Duraview screen 

This High-Density Polyethylene yarn is ideal for screening windows and doors in all areas, particularly where extra strength, durability and impressive visibility through the screen are required.

Resists damage caused by pets and children and is highly suitable for coastal areas.

Aluminium wire

Aluminium screens are ideal where extra strength is required. The baked enamel charcoal finish minimises glare and is easy to install.

Tufflite

Tufflite is a powder coated aluminium screen that withstands damage from pets and children.

Its is 47% stronger than conventional screening and resists extreme weather conditions.

Tuffscreen

Tuffscreen is a heavy gauge powder coated aluminium screen that is ideal for security doors. 

The attractive satin black finish minimises glare.

Stainless Steel Screen.

Super strong Stainless Steel mesh is marine grade for corrosion resistance and is ideal for coastal areas.

Features fine wire diameter for good visibility.

This product meets requirements as detailed under the Australian Standard AS3959-2009 - Construction of Buildings in Bushfire-prone Areas.

The super-strength stainless steel mesh is marine grade corrosion resistant, which makes it ideal for use in coastal areas.

The fine wire diameter means the mesh offers superb visibility, and this product fully meets all requirements of Australian Standard AS3959-2009 - Construction of Buildings in Bushfire-prone Areas.

Bronze

Bronze insect screening is ideal for windows, doors and vents in period style architecture.

Attractive, fire resistant, strong and durable, it develops a green/brown patina over time.

Perforated mesh

A sheet of aluminium perforated with round holes, this mesh can be used in standalone security doors, or to re-mesh existing screen doors.
